On March 5, 2024, Elizabeth Warren took to Twitter to celebrate.
“This is a Biden win for flyers!” Warren declared to her 4.4 million followers.
She had warned for months that a JetBlue-Spirit merger would hurt consumers. The DOJ had sued. A federal judge blocked the deal. And then, the victory lap.
Fast forward two years — in the early morning hours of May 2nd, Spirit announced it will be ending its 34-year operation.
